Biography

Born on 4 May 1997 in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Jimmy Gressier grew up in the Chemin Vert neighbourhood with his five brothers and sisters, in a close-knit, down-to-earth family where sport was always part of life. He first fell in love with football, played for US Boulogne (USBCO), and won two national school titles, earning a call-up to the French university team for the 2015 University World Cup in Guatemala. He took up athletics at 16, and went on to become one of France’s leading distance runners, reaching the top of the sport with the 10,000m world title in Tokyo in 2025.
