KIPSTORM LAB (previously code-named as the Kd900 x Lab) completes this range with the no-compromise shoe for racing from 1 km to half marathons.

'SUPERPOWERS' THANKS TO NEW TECHNOLOGIES

The KIPSTORM LAB features two patent-pending technologies. The first is the Hook Plate, a 'J' shaped carbon plate which provides added propulsion and stability. The second is the Fluid Foam technology. Around a Featherbounce PEBA-based foam soft core at the heart of the shoe, the high-density TPU Fluid Foam creates a protective structural shell, to offer durability, comfort and maximum energy return.

GEOMETRY BUILT FOR SPEED

The geometry of the KIPSTORM LAB has been designed to ensure a smooth forward tilt. Both geometry and carbon plate work together to facilitate the heel-to-forefoot transition and maximize recovery with every stride. The result? Unprecedented efficiency, and a constant sense of speed.

The KIPSTORM LAB is built with a core mission: to be the lightest and most dynamic shoe on the market. At just 167g in a size 8, it stands among the top shoes from international brands. While on KIPRUN's Dynamism Index – calculated on multiple variables, including weight, grip, rocker, cushioning and energy return – the KIPSTORM LAB beats the already high score of KD900X LD+ of 76% to achieve an outstanding 83%.

ALREADY RECORD-BREAKER

The KIPSTORM LAB has already proved its worth by bringing victory to Jimmy Gressier in Lille in March 2025. There, he smashed his own European 5 km record, and became the first European to break the 13-minute barrier on the roads with a time of 12:57.
